Prism Records is an independent record company devoted to making quality art available to the general public. Prism uses the concept that all art can be seen in many different lights, as through a prism. An idea is passed through into a wide array of visions and colors.

Prism hosts the Hardin Thomas Band. HTB has a new album coming out
entitled “All in A Day’s Dream.” All in a day’s dream EP is produced by Danny Barnes, and features grammy winner Garey Shelton, Ben Smith from Heart, Eyvind Kang on viola who plays with Beck and Bill Frisell, and a whole host of jazz musicians that Danny Barnes brought in to work on the record from in and around the Seattle area.

The work that Danny does is really quite incredible. He is a pioneer in his field, known as an Americana Banjo player, is also a master guitarist and songwriter, with multiple styles of playing and producing. He has worked with bands ranging from Punk to Jazz to Bluegrass to Symphony works. It was a true blessing to have his help.

The 2nd half of the record is produced by Hardin Thomas, featuring fiddler Tory Dugan, vocalist Alina Hevia, bassist Garey Shelton, drummer Ben Smith, Cellist Lori Goldston from Nirvana Unplugged, among others.

All of these songs on the album are unique, each tune calling for different instrumentation. As one critic said “A striking blend of bluegrass, jazz, and rock”,maybe we added a few to that on this record.

Once the album is finished, HTB hopes to send it to radio, and leave the rest for the Universe to decide.
